What to Bring
Packing List
Use soft bags rather than hard suitcases — there’s little stowage below deck, and soft bags work better in boat (see Practical Tips).
Suggested items to bring:
- Warm layers — evenings and nights on the water are colder than ashore.
- Rain gear — a waterproof jacket and trousers.
- Soft bags — they stow far better than rigid cases.
- Headlamp — for moving around the boat after dark.
- Sunscreen — sun and glare off the water add up quickly.
- Sleeping bag — bedding is not provided.
- Sheets / linen — and perhaps a small trekking pillow.
- Drinking water — bring enough for your trip.
